Loved this place! Extensive beer menu-120 on tap!!!

t
They have a small parking lot with  parking along the street.  The pub is good sized with plenty of seating at tables, the bar or the small sub bar.  We found the wait staff very friendly with a great deal of knowledge of the  large  number of beers available .  Nacluv thought he had died and gone to Pluto as he eyed the numerous taps that lined the walls all around the bar area.

u4If you are in the mood to be adventurous and are aiming to sample a few of the faire, take note of the beer menu.  Listed beside some of the names you will see the number '1 (like a footnote).  These beers are $2.00 drafts which definitely helps the pocketbook.

We sampled Murphy’s Stout (dark (without that dark taste most dark beers have), foamy on top, flat on bottom), Woodstock Seasonal-great taste (very typical for Woodstock-all their beers are great), Harpoon Leviathan-Harpoon never fails to please-IPA, Imperial IPA American- also good---I suppose you can tell IPA happens to be a favorite!  Beautiful bar shot. Note the many, many taps! So much beer to try!

Bathrooms good sized and everything works!

Had the Margherita pizza—not bad…gee, we’ll just have to come back and try more food and beer, of course.

  • The patrons are as friendly as the wait staff. We met a really nice couple, Christina and Ray. Christina gave us some great suggestions for Pubs to visit in the area. You can be sure we’ll be taking her advice.

PUB TIP: when talking politics in a pub, one should wear a hat with a D or an R to represent party affiliation. That way there will be no confusion.

  • We would definintely recommend Murphy’s Taproom.
  • One more note: Murphy’s has a great deck, which we could not experience as this is New England and it’s COLD in November.
