1. To meet new people, sit at the bar. You'll never know who you'll meet or what you'll learn or teach.
2. The waitstaff are running around all day and are generally tired, so be a good and patient customer, and the service will be great.
3. When we visit a pub, we scope out the server to see what type of personality they have and whether or not we can have some fun and hopefully make their stressful and tiring day, a better one.
4. When the waitstaff introduces themselves as your server, introduce yourself as their customer.
5. When the waitstaff list the vast number of beers on tap, choose the fourth one they mentioned and watch their faces as they try to remember which one it was. Make sure the waitstaff are relaxed and open to having a good time.
6. Always try to make room for new arrivals by moving down or making room for the placement of another stool. You never know who you will meet or what you might learn.
