If you are ever in downtown Derry, please do not miss stopping in at The Cask and Vine. We have been to quite a few pubs and have enjoyed all of the ones we’ve blogged on this website. However, we have to say that this place is unique in the best of ways. To quote Andy and Alana, “This is about more than just another place. This is about ideas. This is about local. This is about community, conversation and sharing….It’s about an experience.” |
That is EXACTLY what you have at the Cask and Vine…. An experience. Case in point, Andy was introducing a new Founder’s Breakfast Stout. He advertised a Pajama Party, had steak and eggs on the menu and a prize for the best pj’s. It was a blast. He also celebrated the anniversary of the end of prohibition. If you wore a fedora, you would get a discount on your beer/wine order. |

Cask and Vine is a venue that celebrates community. Andy and Alana constantly promote other small businesses. He was asked to do his beautiful artwork at a new pub opening in neighboring Manchester. He was happy to do it to promote a new neighbor. Along with their 2 Drinkery locations (2 Young Rd., basement, Londonderry, NH, and 39 East Broadway, Derry, NH), they also are promoting local brewers and vineyards. You will always be pleasantly surprised by the beer and wine selections at the Cask and Vine. |

Then there’s the food. George, the chef, is amazing. We had the best turkey sandwich ever (and I’m not a real fan of turkey). It was amazing. The menu changes as often as the taps. It is always an adventure, and always delicious. The wait staff is the friendliest and most helpful anywhere. Joe and Joanie treat you as though you are part of their family. |
We will say this, however, if you are looking for a sports bar, do not go to the Cask and Vine. There are no tv’s in the building….just a mellow setting and music to go along with it. If you have a hard time conversing with your sweetie, this is not the place for you. This is a place to go and connect with each other and pretty much everyone around you. |

You will find yourself anxiously awaiting Andy and Alana’s next idea for a party. If it's not an end of summer beach party where he had some seven yards of sand delivered that was spread out over the entire floor then it's his new year's eve party with no ticket sales required.
